Police are investigating a swatting incident at NFA North in Newburgh Thursday that prompted officers to respond and put the school in a hold in place.
City of Newburgh Police say someone using a suicide prevention chat app claimed they were inside NFA North with a gun after killing their siblings in Amherst, New York.
The school was put in a hold in place while officers and school security searched the building and bathrooms.
Officials say no threat was found and the hold in place was later lifted.
The incident remains under investigation.
