A teenager went missing in the waters in Rockaway Beach on Tuesday, prompting a large-scale search.

Emergency responders flocked to Beach 73rd Street and Shore Front Parkway after receiving a 911 call for a person missing in the water just after 3:30 p.m.

FDNY rescue swimmers, drones and Marine units joined forces with the NYPD's aviation and SCUBA teams, combing the waters for nearly two hours.

Authorities say all FDNY and NYPD search units were released just before 5 p.m. They did not locate the person.

A second person was injured during the chaos. EMS treated them for minor injuries at the scene.

Tuesday marked the second day when temperatures reached over 90 degrees. Beaches remain closed until they open for the season on Saturday, kicking off Memorial Day weekend.

Lifeguards are not on duty while beaches are closed.
