New data shows several Hudson Valley communities are among the top revenue generators from fines and fees across New York State.

According to the State Comptroller’s Office, the town of Greenburgh collected more than $2.7 million last year, ranking fifth among all town and village courts statewide.

The town of Rye followed closely behind, coming in sixth with more than $2.5 million in collections.

In Rockland County, the town of Ramapo ranked 13th, bringing in nearly $1.9 million.

Officials say the figures reflect the amount of money collected through fines, fees and other court-related penalties.

The data also shows the highest total among village courts statewide was recorded on Long Island.
