Two-alarm fire breaks out in Unionport

The fire quickly escalated to a two-alarm fire. About 141 fire personnel responded to the fire.

A large fire broke out late Tuesday night in Unionport.

The FDNY responded to a fire at 2155 Gleason Ave. just after 10:30 p.m. where a fire broke out in the cockloft of the building.

The fire quickly escalated to a two-alarm fire. About 141 fire personnel responded to the fire.

It took firefighters almost an hour to control the flames.

There were no injuries reported.

The American Red Cross says they have registered five households, including 10 adults and one child for emergency assistance.
