Former NFL quarterback, head coach and current broadcaster Jason Garrett returned to his alma mater, Princeton University, to kick off the first-ever Starfish Charities Fight Hunger campaign.

The event featured a community barbecue aimed at providing meals for 1,500 people across Princeton, Trenton, and Hightstown.

Garrett, who starred as Princeton’s quarterback in the early 1990s, spent the day giving back both on and off the field.

In addition to supporting the hunger relief effort, Garrett hosted a youth football camp and took part in a 5K run, making the event a day focused on community service, fitness and helping families in need.
