Police are searching for the people responsible for the fatal stabbing of a Bronx father after a violent confrontation that was captured on disturbing video.

The victim, identified by family members as 46-year-old Leonardo Sanchez, was killed after an argument escalated into a street fight in the Bronx. The graphic video, which has been circulating on social media, shows the moments leading up to the deadly attack.

The footage appears to show Sanchez, dressed in black, running down the street while involved in a fight with three other men. Several people can be seen carrying bats and clubs as bystanders run through the area. Others are seen attempting to break up the confrontation.

After the altercation appeared to calm down, Sanchez walked away and got into a parked car. According to the video, a man wearing a black baseball cap and a white tank top then approached the vehicle, opened the door, and lunged inside toward Sanchez.

Moments later, Sanchez is seen stumbling out of the vehicle, bleeding heavily before collapsing on the street.

According to police, Sanchez had been arguing with a group of people before he was stabbed multiple times. He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Witnesses told authorities that the group involved fled the scene in a vehicle after the attack. Video obtained by News 12 appears to show a car speeding away shortly afterward. No arrests have been made.

For Sanchez's family, the loss has been devastating. Jennifer, the victim's cousin, said she first came across the video online and had no idea the man in the footage was her relative.

"He was a lovely person...very friendly, very polite. He would help anybody," she said.

Jennifer said it was only minutes later that her father called to tell her that Leonardo had been killed.

"When I found out it was him...it really shocked me. He didn't deserve that," she said.

She said Sanchez leaves behind a heartbroken family who are now preparing for his funeral.

The NYPD has not released an official suspect description but says detectives are searching for multiple people believed to be connected to the deadly attack.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals seen in the video or has information about the case is urged to contact the NYPD's 46th Precinct or Crime Stoppers.
