On this week's Road Trip - or should we say boat trip - Close to Home, News 12's Julia Burns set sail with Brooklyn Sail with iconic New York City views.

On a Catalina 34 docked in the Brooklyn Bridge Marina, the concrete jungle isn't setting the pace - the wind is.

Ian Graham, captain and owner of Brooklyn Sail, says it's a way to show people the city from a different perspective.

“It’s really nice to just feel the elements and be part of a quiet space looking back at this busy area of New York City that's so dense and loud," said Graham.

Brooklyn Sail offers group tours, private charters, and group lessons. Graham says it's a way to find peace amid the city's hustle and bustle.

“Sailing is great because it connects people with nature. Especially when we can cut the motor, it’s just quiet. You can feel the wind," said Graham.

You can get close-up views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Governor's Island, the Statue of Liberty, and more.

For more information, you can head to Brooklyn Sail's website.
