The worst of the rain appears to have passed across New York City, but some neighborhoods are still dealing with the aftermath of the storm.
News 12 crews observed lingering flooding Sunday in parts of Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant, where water remained on some streets and around homes.
Residents were seen clearing out their basements and moving belongings as they prepared for the possibility of additional rain and flooding. Several people told News 12 they were caught off guard by the severity of the weather and were not fully prepared for the heavy rainfall.
While conditions have improved, officials continue to urge residents to stay alert as the threat of additional rainfall remains possible.
