Yonathan Guzman, 22, is charged with murder for the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Jose Hernandez.

Police say it happened in the middle of the day—inside an apartment on Dorchester Road.

According to a criminal complaint, 22-year-old Yonathan Guzman had a knife in one hand and a firearm in the other hand, when he approached the victim and shot him in the chest.

It’s the second homicide in two days, within a two-block radius.

Authorities say the shooter lived in the building, but there’s no apparent relationship between him and the victim at this time.
