A tour bus on its way to Brooklyn for a church event flipped over in New Jersey this morning, sending 23 people to the hospital.
The tour bus carrying 56 passengers turned over on its side the eastbound Route 80 exit ramp toward Route 46 at about 7:45 a.m.
Max 2000 Charters of Toronto, identified by New Jersey police as the bus company, is not allowed to operate according to the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration due to its history of safety violations.
Police say none of the injuries were considered life-threatening. Investigator's are currently questioning the 51-year-old bus driver, although they say it is too early to know what caused him to lose control.
