There is a safety alert for drivers as this weekend's clock change makes our roads more dangerous.
With Daylight Saving Time starting at 2 a.m. Sunday, AAA is reminding drivers the shift in daylight hours can create challenges. One issue, is the loss of an hour's sleep can make you drowsy behind the wheel. Also, longer daylight hours mean more people are out later. Here are some tips from AAA:
- In the morning, turn on your headlights to make yourself more visible
- Leave more following room. If the sun is in your eyes - it's harder to see what the car ahead is doing.
- Watch out for kids still outdoors in the lighter evening hours.
