38-year-old stabbed in the arm while riding B82 bus in Canarsie

The NYPD says the woman was trying to get off the bus as it was approaching East 105th Street and Flatlands Avenue.

A 38-year-old woman was stabbed on Jan. 27 while on the B82 MTA bus in Canarsie, police say.

The NYPD says the woman was trying to get off the bus as it was approaching East 105th Street and Flatlands Avenue because a fight broke out between the person one person and two other passengers.

Instead, she got caught in the scuffle and was stabbed in her arm.

The 38-year-old woman is expected to be OK.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police.
