The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services gave five stars to the hospitals.

8h agoFive Long Island hospitals were ranked among the top performing medical centers in the nation.
The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services gave five stars to the following hospitals:
- Huntington Hospital
- Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson
- North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset
- St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center in Roslyn
- NYU-Langone Long Island Hospital in Mineola
The number is up from last year, when three Long Island hospitals received top rankings.
