One woman is dead after getting hit by a car in Kensington on Monday, police say.

Police say the incident took place on East 2nd Street and 18th Avenue. According to officers, the 65-year-old was crossing the street when she was hit by a 2021 Infiniti.

She was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition. On Wednesday, the 65-year-old woman Adilova Rahima condition was pronounced dead, according to police. 

As for the driver, they did remain on the scene. That investigation is ongoing.
