(AP) - Federal officials say seven bodies have been recovered from the midair collision between a sightseeing helicopter and small plane over the Hudson River that killed nine.
National Transportation Safety Board spokeswoman Debbie Hersman said Sunday at a news conference that two more bodies have been recovered. Five bodies had been pulled from the river earlier along with the wreckage of the helicopter. Police using sonar have located the submerged small plane that collided with it.
Investigators are searching for pictures and videos of Saturday's accident, which was seen by thousands on the clear summer day.
Three members of a Pennsylvania family were in the private plane and five Italian tourists and a pilot from New Jersey were in the Liberty Tours helicopter.
