Police are looking for a man who they say is responsible for stealing seven cellphones from a phone and computer store in Kingsbridge and attacking a 29-year-old man.
Authorities say the robbery happened just after 4 p.m. Thursday at Ytech Phone & Computer Repair, located at 145 West 231st St. The man entered the store and used a hammer to break a display case.
He snatched the cellphones from the case before striking the 29-year-old on his way out of the store.
EMS took the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he is expected to recover.
Police say the man ran from the store toward Broadway.
