74-year-old man attacked inside elevator at Concourse building

The NYPD says the man started an argument with the 74-year-old around 9 a.m. Tuesday at 1169 River Ave.

Police are searching for the man who they say attacked a 74-year-old man inside an elevator at an apartment building in Concourse.

The NYPD says the man started an argument with the 74-year-old around 9 a.m. Tuesday at 1169 River Ave. They say he then threw the victim to the ground before punching him in the head and face repeatedly.

Paramedics rushed the 74-year-old to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he is expected to recover, according to the NYPD.

Police released images of his attacker, who is seen wearing a black sweatshirt and sweatpants with a purple durag and black and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
