Many people were in East New York for the eighth annual Juneteenth celebration in Linden Park.

The event celebrates the end of slavery in the United States.

This year's theme was youth empowerment and featured presentations from business owners.

The event also featured African-American heritage from African jewelry and textiles to Angolan coffee.
