A 9-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he and his mother were brutally beaten with a hammer.
Police say they found the boy and his mother after responding to a domestic violence report at a home on Marcy Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The child's older brother, who is mentally-challenged, was taken into custody by police and is being held at Woodhull Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
He has not been charged.
