While many children are out taking in the summer, 9-year-old Autumn Blinn is using the time to help others.
Blinn has started sewing small pillows for people who are sick.
It started when Blinn's grandfather, John Santiago, would go in for dyalisis three times a week. He needed something to rest his arm on while the treatment took place, so Autumn sewed him a pillow.
"I thought it was amazing that a 9-year old sewed it on a machine," said Santiago.
The pillow she made became so popular, she made more for her grandfather's fellow patients. Soon she decided to start making pillows for others, including sick children at Jacobi Medical Center.
"I don't want to make them feel sad, I want to help make them cheer up," said Autumn.
