Volunteers partnered with Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson to beautify a section of Webster Avenue on Sunday.
ASEZ WAO, comprised of workers from the World Mission Society Church of God, picked up garbage from East 20th Street to Parkside Place. The clean-up efforts are part of a worldwide environmental protection movement called the Green Earth Campaign.
Victor Lozada, regional director, says they have been doing cleanups since 2017 in the Bronx and there is a positive impact in the community and in the volunteers.
“We see the volunteers get more involved with the community and we can see a brighter future,” says Lozada.
