A 22-year-old Brooklyn man has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing two NYPD officers. Police say the incident occurred at the J train station at Broadway and Eastern Parkway Tuesday night. According to police, Hugo Hernandez slashed Police Officer Angel Cruz in the head and another officer in the hand. Cruz, 30, shot the suspect in the left elbow during the struggle, police say. Cruz was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition. The other injured officer was also taken to Jamaica Hospital with cuts to his hands. Hernandez is listed in stable condition. He has a record that includes assaults on police officers in New Jersey, according to police.
