Activists took to the streets again Saturday to denounce gun violence after another person in Canarsie was shot and killed this week.
They gathered on the corner where bullets flew in a triple shooting that killed 28-year-old Aaron Vincent Thursday night. Residents say they change and organizations are once again demanding that Canarsie gets a fully funded crisis management center.
A candlelit vigil has been set up on the street to honor Vincent.
Last week, the same group of people were at the Bayview Houses to denounce the death of 18-year-old Jamere Jones, who also died of gun violence.
Activists are continuing to demand the incoming mayoral administration for a cure violence site to be funded in the 69th Precinct.
The groups tells News 12 they will not stop fighting until the community of Canarsie gets the resources it needs to keep guns off the streets.
