A familiar face is contributing to the push to bring the 2016 Democratic National Convention to Brooklyn.
Actress Rosie Perez stars in one of the new ads seen on YouTube. She pleads her case saying, "I back the bid because Brooklyn's story is America's story."
Brooklyn is in the final running to host the event, which would be held at the Barclays Center. The other finalists are Columbus, Ohio and Philadelphia.
Borough President Eric Adams said he doesn't think recent tension between Mayor de Blasio and the NYPD will deter the committee.
A decision on where the DNC will be held is expected early this year.
