A dream that ignited in the walls of a Washington Heights apartment for Manny Perez has now landed him on the big screen.
His most recent project and the third in "La Soga" franchise takes the audience through "sicarrio's" lenses. It's a hitman's journey in wanting to live a normal life, and Perez says his goal with the series is to tell the truth of what is happening in Latin America.
"I feel like there is so much to say about the corruption that's happening in the Dominican Republic - and not just in the DR, in South America, Latin America, third-world countries. So it's great to sort of throw it out there so people can reflect, and hopefully it will make change for our countries," said Perez.
