The Better Business Bureau is warning travelers about a scam involving the increased number of flight cancellations.
The BBB says scammers are making fake ticket booking sites and customer service numbers to charge travelers for rescheduling fake flights.
The way it works is you book your flight and then get a call saying there's been a price increase or extra charge to finalize the booking. BBB officials say don't fall for it because a legitimate company would never do that.
If you're planning to buy a ticket, BBB says double-check the website or phone number before you give out your credit card info.
