Major League Baseball officials, members of the Yankees organization and Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced activities Tuesday for the 2008 All-Star Week.
Fans will take part in special events, including the Home Run Derby and All-Star game, which takes place July 15. According to Yankees team captain Derek Jeter, bringing the All-Star game back to the Bronx is a no-brainer.
"You get an opportunity to give back to the community, and the Yankees have done a great job of that ? I think it's a great thing," Jeter said.
Tickets will be priced at $150 to $725 for the July 15 game, according to MLB. That's up from the $75 to $285 range for last year's game in San Francisco and $10 to $15 for box and reserved seats the last time the All-Stars were at Yankee Stadium in 1977.
Tickets for the Home Run Derby and workout day on July 14 are $100 to $650. That's an increase from $50 to $225 last year.
Registration to buy tickets for the All-Star game and Derby began Tuesday at MLB.com and the drawing will be held June 16.
