An alleged plot to bomb two Bronx synagogues prompted Jewish leaders and elected officials to hold a meeting on security Sunday.

State Sen. Eric Adams says in light of the alleged plot, sharing information is imperative in the Borough Park neighborhood, which has a large Jewish community. He met with members of the FBI and the state office of homeland security.

Officials assured local Jewish leaders there are no current threats to their communities. They say the key to preventing future attacks is reporting possible threats to authorities.

Four men were arrested Wednesday night after police say they planted what they thought were plastic explosives outside two Jewish sites in the Bronx. The suspects also allegedly planned to shoot down military planes at Stewart Airport in Newburgh, N.Y.
