A new report from the American Federation of Teachers shows a rise in teacher and staff shortages.
The report showed that 79% of teachers said they were dissatisfied with their current overall working conditions, while 74% of teachers said they would not recommend teaching as a profession.
The report came shortly after another AFT survey found that the 2021-2022 school year was one of the worst years for pre-K through 12th grade teachers and staff.
Some of the solutions offered to reverse the shortage include increasing salary and benefits, diversifying the educator workforce and lowering class sizes.
