A piece of cinematic history has been docked in Brooklyn for the past three days.
A replica of the slave ship seen in the Steven Spielberg-directed film "Amistad" is stationed at Pier 5 in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The original vessel was made famous after 53 slaves on board revolted in 1839. They were eventually freed after a trial.
Visitors got a chance to check out the ship for themselves, sharing an important part of American history and learning about the brave men on board.
The replica was built in Connecticut, where the slaves went to trial.
Sunday marks the last day the ship will be in Brooklyn, before it heads back to Connecticut to wait out the winter.
