A concert venue set to open on the Coney Island Boardwalk this summer is getting mixed reactions from residents.

The 5,000-seat venue is scheduled to open in July, and will host concerts, sports and other events.

The city gave $60 million to support the development, but the surrounding community has had a mixed response about the development.

Some residents say another entertainment option is just what the area needs, but others worry about issues like increased traffic and noise.

"I think it will be great. It is going to bring a lot of business and job opportunities for people. The traffic, yeah, it is definitely going to be a lot, but I think we will get around that," says Coney Island resident Qaron Davis.

Barclays Center is selling the naming rights, and will provide some programming for the venue. It says the amphitheater will be environmentally sustainable and will hire local residents to work full and part-time jobs.
