At least 14 firefighters were injured battling a 10-alarm blaze that city officials are calling one of the worst ever. The fire started in the back of the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse Tuesday and quickly engulfed the entire complex. Seven warehouses were totally damaged and will be torn down. In total, about 350 firefighters reported to the scene and three fireboats used water from the East River to battle the blaze. Fire officials, who are calling the fire suspicious, say the building was vacant when the fire broke out. Firefighters will remain on the scene throughout the night. Real estate developer Joshua Guttman, who planned to eventually turn the building into condos, owns the warehouse. Related Information
