4ds agoAuthorities in Hunterdon County are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving a man and woman in their 70s.
Readington Township police were called to a fire at a home in the Whitehouse Station section of town early Sunday morning. After the fire was extinguished, they discovered the bodies of 70-year-old Kathryn Shern and 71-year-old Charles Shern.
Officials say that the victims died from apparent gunshot wounds. Details about the deaths were not immediately released, but police say that one of the victims killed the other and then took their own life.
