As many celebrated Mardi Gras in New Orleans, one bakery in Bedford-Stuyvesant celebrated Fat Tuesday with a unique delicacy.
Brooklyn Kolache has been selling its perfectly sweet dessert as a nod to Mardi Gras for weeks.
A kolache is a pastry with sweet and savory fillings, and the bakery's king cake roll uses its typical kolache dough, but with a sweet cinnamon filling.
Once the dough is finished, the rest of the process takes about 10 minutes.
Although Fat Tuesday was the last day to enjoy the king cake, the shop says a Chinese New Year delicacy is on the way.
