Residents living in the area surrounding Brooklyn's new Barclays Center have started an online petition in protest of the arena's new liquor license application, hoping to limit the hours alcohol is served.
The Barclays Center just applied for a state liquor license that would allow the arena to serve alcohol until 4 a.m. every night. People who live nearby say they're concerned for their safety.
An online petition, which has already received more than 1,000 signatures, is calling for the state to limit last call to 10 p.m. Residents are also asking their local community board to end its support of the Barclays Center's liquor license application.
