Brooklyn residents got quite the surprise on Wednesday night when they saw the now famous community goldfish pond dried up and shut down on Wednesday.

Back in August, goldfish and a dripping hydrant brought the community together on Hancock Street.

But on Wednesday, the FDNY fixed the leaky hydrant, which caused the water to dry up and the pond to be temporarily shut down.

The community quickly came together to come up with a plan to salvage the pond.

News 12 Daniella Rodriguez gives us a glimpse into how these fish will soon be living large.
