Gunshots rang out early Friday morning in Bedford-Stuyvesant, marking New York City's first shooting of 2016.
The shooting happened on Herkimer Street shortly before 1 a.m.
Police say a 33-year-old man was shot outside of a private apartment complex north of Atlantic Avenue.
The man, who has not been identified, was shot in the neck during a dispute. He was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made.
