Some Bed-Stuy students got an introductory class to the world of computer programming on Tuesday.
Students at P.S. 21 got a crash course in coding. It's how computers, games, apps and software are programmed. They spent one hour programming a video game.
The Bed-Stuy organization Digital Girl brought a program called Hour of Code to the school in order to get young women interested in technology.
The Hour of Code global initiative started introducing millions of students to the world of computer science last year.
Students who participated in the program say it is fun to learn a language that the computer can understand.
