A small neighborhood sandwich shop in Windsor Terrace is getting a lot of attention.
Brancaccio’s Food Shop has been named home to the best breakfast sandwich in New York state.
The recognition comes from food site Chowhound, which highlighted the shop’s green eggs and ham sandwich. It’s made with prosciutto cotto, fontina cheese and a nut-free, homemade pesto.

“The entire menu is based off of just what I'm in the mood for. That's it,” Brancaccio said.
The now-famous sandwich has helped turn Brancaccio’s into a destination, with customers traveling from other boroughs just to try it.
Brancaccio’s Food Shop is located at 3011 Fort Hamilton Parkway in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn.
