Seasons Nursery in Bed-Stuy is back open, despite fears the garden had closed for good last season because the lot it sits on was listed for sale.
According to nursery owner Deborah Young, the lot is still for sale, but with no buyer, they decided to open the space and fill it with flowers, arts and decorations for as long as they can.
"It's bittersweet, and my heart is so touched by the response we've gotten from the community, that I and this shop mean so much to them," Young said.
Young tells News 12 that they hope to have a few more seasons before they bid farewell to the neighborhood.
She says the historic lot will need to be developed in a way that matches the neighborhood and believes it could take at least a year to get permitted.
