Several Bensonhurst business owners say they were ticketed hundreds of dollars for a mess that wasn?t theirs.

Three storeowners along 86th Street each received $300-tickets for a mess on the sidewalk in front of their stores. However, one restaurant?s surveillance system caught a sanitation worker tossing fluorescent bulbs in front of the stores.

The restaurant owner gave a copy of the surveillance video to sanitation officials Monday. The Department of Sanitation says it will further investigate to assess all the facts.
