A Chilean photographer is exploring changes in Brooklyn's landscape in a new exhibit.
The exhibit by photographer Sergio Purtell is titled, "In Brooklyn: Architectures of Disappearance."
Much of Purtell's photography draws on violent and radical socioeconomic change. One of Purtell's favorite subjects is the notoriously dirty Gowanus Canal, and how it's on the edge of gentrification.
"I'm fascinated by Brooklyn because I live here and I work here," the photographer says.
The exhibit runs until May 17 in Bushwick.
