A Brooklyn non-profit is helping to provide services for black veterans.

The Black Veterans for Social Justice in Bed-Stuy was formed in 1979 to help black soldiers coming home after war.

The group provides services like housing, employment and substance abuse treatment.

Muriel Frazier, a volunteer who helps veterans find jobs, says she first joined Black Veterans for Social Justice after an honorable discharge from the Airforce.

Organizers say they help thousands of veterans in the community each year, no matter what their race.
