12h agoIt’s a new beginning for an East Flatbush church after it suffered a destructive fire four months ago.
St. Catherine of Genoa held a special Mass on Sunday.
Bishop Robert Brennan blessed the completed church renovations after a fire damaged areas of the church in August.
News 12 was there in the summer after the church went up in flames.
The repairs included repainting the church, including ceiling medallions.
All doors except the front doors of the church needed to be replaced. They also replaced the sound system.
