Urban farmers, beekeepers and wannabe beekeepers attended a workshop Saturday to mark the second anniversary of the legalization of the eco-friendly hobby.
The Bee Course was organized by NYC Beekeeping. Participants learned how to safely keep and maintain urban hives.
Organizers say the number of beehives in New York City has quadrupled since beekeeping was legalized.
