A Brooklyn boy who was shot in the head over the weekend was released from the hospital Wednesday.
Devonte Kelly, 11, walked out of Brookdale Hospital with a bandage on his head, surrounded by his family and the doctors who saved his life.
Doctors say the stray bullet that lodged in the skull of the Little League player could have killed him. They say when Devonte arrived in the hospital Sunday night, they first thought he was hit by a baseball. However, a CT scan revealed he was shot in the head.
So far, no arrests have been made in the shooting.
