Catholic schools throughout Brooklyn and the rest of the city are back in session as the 2007-2008 school year kicked off Wednesday.
Parents told News 12 Brooklyn that they choose catholic schools over public education for a variety of reasons. Those reasons include more attention being paid to each child, better structure and smaller classrooms.
Paula Rivera sends her son Gabriel to Midwood Catholic Academy and cites previous success with catholic schools as motivation to continue with the institution.
?As a parent, I?m looking forward to the best teacher my child can get ? someone who will be as dedicated as the third-grade teacher he had,? says Rivera.
