The Department of Education (DOE) says it wants to close an entire charter school network in Brooklyn, potentially affecting more than 1,500 students.
According to published reports, officials announced a plan to shut down the Believe Network, which includes three schools throughout Williamsburg.
The DOE sited a misuse of funds and management problems as some of the reasons for its decision. The schools now have a month to respond.
