A half year after a deadly arson on Pacific Street in Brooklyn, the community is still searching for answers.
A flower box remains at 1033 Pacific St. as a reminder of the two women and two children who died in the home on February 24. Fire investigators ruled the blaze an arson. The community raised thousands of dollars for the husband who lost his family.
The fire department says 17 arsons occurred in Brooklyn during the first four months of 2006, three of which were on Pacific Street. However, Community Board 8 says a recent decline can be attributed to resident patrols.
