Brooklyn parents who want to send their children to Catholic schools may now be eligible for the Cardinal Scholarship Program. The program gives financial assistance to low-income families. It operates on a first come, first serve basis. Parents must meet the financial eligibility requirement and then the child must be accepted into a Catholic school. According to the Endowment for Inner-City Education, the scholarship amounts vary.In total, the endowment says the scholarship program will raise $32 million dollars over the next nine years and will help about 3,600 families.
